a) still at uni,

d) you don't even have a 1 bed flat to move into.

Honestly isn't the step to marriage supposed to mark a new chapter in your life where you branch out into your own life? Not spend thousands of dollars and then move back home!

lol im glad someone else thinks the same.. i know this is a show but i have quite a few people i used to go to school with who got engaged in their teens. i understand "love and committment" can maybe come into it then.. but actually getting married SHOULD mean you can move out and have a life of your own as an independant adult

Speaking to TV Week about the surprise scene, Steph's portrayer Carla Bonner explained: "We filmed it prior to Brett leaving the show back in 2009. He loved the fact that Dan Fitzgerald still has such a presence in the show. Even though the character has physically left, his legacy lives on."

Discussing how fans may react to Steph's choice, the actress said: "I think it will divide viewers. A mother giving up her baby is a massive decision to make and a huge sacrifice. But ever since she fell pregnant, Steph's decisions haven't made her a fan favourite, and this won't help save her reputation!"

The new development follows a long-running storyline which saw Steph and Toadie (Ryan Moloney) staging a sham reunion in a bid to prevent anyone from finding out that Dan was the father of the child.

Asked how she felt about the latest twist, Bonner replied: "Honestly, I had trouble with it at first. Ryan and I took a lot of convincing to take this storyline on and now, with Steph giving the baby away, I had even more trouble comprehending it. I can understand why the producers took this path, though. There is a method to their madness!"

In the space of about 24 hours, Libby discovered Ben was a genius, based on the fact the kid was good at creative writing, and a quiz she found online. Due to him acing the quiz, he was automatically offered a place at, like, a skool for the roollly smart in the country, and he was shipped off there ASAP. (Yeah, seeya kid. Don't let the door hit you in the arse on the way out).

Actor Gemma Pranita is the latest addition to the cast of Neighbours.

The 24-year-old will play Jade Mitchell and arrives on Ramsay St to expose a dark secret of her on-screen sister Sonya, played by Eve Morey.

Filming started this week with the former Bell Shakespeare Company actor's screen debut in December.

In more Neighbours news, veteran actor Jane Clifton, perhaps most well-known for her role as Margo Gaffney in drama Prisoner, will also appear on the soap - this time on the other side of the law - when she plays guest character Judge Willow.

During filming, Clifton caught up with former Prisoner cohort turned Neighbours longtime resisdent Janet Andrewartha.

Andrew is relieved his father is awake, but Rebecca is finding it much more confronting having to talk to the man who betrayed her. Andrew forces Paul to remember the night he was pushed - and Paul gives the Police Diana's name. On the run, Diana pays a surprise visit to Paul. Where she reveals a truth about the night he was pushed. Meanwhile Rebecca is torn now that she's faced with a future with Paul. Will she stand by him?

Tuesday 21st Sept
Sensing Andrew's vulnerability, Rebecca charges Summer with looking out for him. She rallies his friends, but is stymied when Natasha's suggestion that they all head out to an all age dance party seems to be just the answer Andrew was looking for. At the club, Natasha is all over Andrew and Chris spots Summer's jealousy. She denies she has feelings for him, but as the music starts pounding and Andrew starts dancing with her, there's no fighting the feeling anymore.

Wednesday 22nd Sept
Desperate to feel like her old self, Steph tries to rebuild her life. However when she discovers Toadie's sending toys to Adam, she's reminded again of what she's done. Looking for an escape, Steph reconnects with bad boy ex-boyfriend Woody. Seeing it as a chance to re-invent herself as the independent biker chick she used to be, Steph revels in not being the scarlet woman who gave away her baby. Certain she's going off the rails, will Lyn get through to her?

Thursday 23rd Sept
Convinced Steph is suffering from postnatal depression and despite Steph's warning not to interfere, Lyn stages an intervention. Steph feels ambushed and takes off with Woody. Lyn faces the possibility that she's lost Steph for good.

Friday 24th Sept
Paul's still in Hospital, frustrated by his inability to remember what happened on the Mezzanine. Unable to stand it any longer, he forces Andrew to take him back to the scene of the crime. Paul's assaulted by a barrage of flashbacks but won't reveal to Andrew what he's seen. Meanwhile Declan continues his push to make Rebecca leave Paul for good.


Do you reckon the role PJ Lane filmed a few months back will turn out to be Woody?
