Ya but I think Mariah has a lot more room to start demanding things in terms of money or other requirements as she's actually got some really good industry credentials J-Lo on the other hand hasn't had a successful album in years and is more of an actress than a legitimate artist. Mariah is a real American Idol and has almost iconic status on the show already. J-Lo certainly wasn't a first round pick to begin with.

That said, I actually think I'd rather see her on the US version of the X Factor cos I really think American Idol will be on its way out the door soon (not likely next year, but 2012 or 13)
